In all places and at all times, Venice has represented
the city where art, music and history, marvellously
blend together to inebriate all who come to admire
its beauty. As a nurturing mother, Venice, with its
ancient history and flourishing culture, most closely
embodies the wonderful event of Human Reproduction
and, in my opinion, is the ideal place to hold such
an important venue.
The 12th World Congress will be held from the 10th
to the 13th of March, 2005 at the prestigious Giorgio
Cini Foundation located right in front of Piazza S.
Marco (Island of San Giorgio Maggiore) and will be
dedicated to the great themes of Human Reproduction:
medical, surgical and behavioural from intrauterine
life to ageing population.
Furthermore I am extremely pleased to announce that
for the very first time the Congress will be also
available on line, especially for those who will not
be able to guarantee their physical attendance but
still wish to be part of this important triennial
meeting.
I warmly invite all of you to participate and support
this major cultural and scientific event.
